Distal Radius Fracture Fixation

Home / Services / Wrist & Hand Surgery / Distal Radius Fracture Fixation

At SOS, we offer arthroscopically assisted fixation for distal radius fractures.

If a distal radius fracture is displaced and position cannot be maintained by closed means, such as plaster or splinting, then internal fixation is required.

Arthroscopic-assisted fixation allows inspection of the joint surface to assess reduction and also allows diagnosis and treatment of associated injuries to the wrist joint, such as ligament or TFC Tears.

We use the IXOS plating system from KLS Martin.
