Workers Compensation Injuries

At Sports and Orthopaedics, we offer treatments for musculoskeletal Workers’ Compensation injuries. Our doctors have extensive experience in the nonoperative and surgical management of WorkCover injuries.

Nonoperative treatments include referral to physiotherapy, exercise prescription for Exercise Physiology, ultrasound-guided interventions such as corticosteroid injections and autologous tenocyte implantation. PRP or platelet-rich plasma is usually not covered under WorkCover.

If surgery is required, some procedures are performed on site at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre, or MISC.

Medicolegal Reports

Sports and Orthopaedic Specialists no longer offer a Medicolegal service for second opinions and Permanent Impairment Assessments.

Reports can be obtained via your legal counsel.
